Ivo Council Boss, Aja Lauds Governor Nwifuru; Distributes Farm Inputs


The Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Aja has described the agricultural intervention programs of Ebonyi State Governor, Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as the best way to achieve food security.

Chief Aja gave the description during the distribution of the 2024 farm inputs at Isiaka, the headquarters of the council area.

The Council Boss who also commended Governor Nwifuru for his pragmatic intervention in the agricultural sector said it has given the farmers an added advantage in their area of strength hence sufficient food and raw materials would be produced for the people and industrial purposes.

While distributing the farm inputs which include knack sprayer, fertilizers, herbicides, seedlings among others, Chief Aja urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items so as to contribute to food sufficiency, a project the state governor has prioritised.

He also charged his Special Assistant on Agriculture, Comr. Paul Mbazu to monitor the farmers to ensure that there would not be deviation of any kind.

Some of the farmers appreciated the kind gesture of the council chairman with a promise to put them into good use.
