The message reads thus;

“With total gratitude to God who gives freely His most precious gift to humanity, let me join the Child friendly Government of Ebonyi State ably led by His Excellency, the ebullient Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to warmly mark this year’s children’s day celebration.

“This auspicious occasion that brings to the fore the importance of children in every family and the society at large advocates more inclusive collaboration among key stakeholders namely the parents and government in fostering their total wellbeing.

“In furtherance of this, it is on record that the People’s Charter of Needs blueprint of the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has done a lot in providing a healthy environment for Ebonyi Children to thrive and explore their potentials with ease and also compete favourably with their contemporaries around the globe.

“Through the office of the first lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Mauduline Ogbonna Nwifuru the present administration placed premium on the child’s wellbeing under the umbrella of “Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons (BERWO) foundation. The pet project of the first lady ensures that no act of child abuse rares it’s ugly head in the state. The office treats with utmost disdain acts inimical to their overall growth and development in line with the Child Right act and other international treaties.

“With these commendable steps of Governor Nwifuru’s led administration, I wish to charge parents and guidance to mount their guards by setting good standards and also despise outrightly any form of social ill capable of staining their innocent minds.

“As stakeholders continue to work in synergy in promoting the welfare of children, it is therefore incumbent on them to reciprocate the gesture by being morally sound and educationally upright to become responsible and responsive adults in future.

“May God preserve and bless our children.

“Happy Children’s Day Celebration”.
