The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi State Chapter has continued to win more souls on a daily basis as the members of opposition parties mainly the People’s Democratic Party and APGA defected to the ruling party amidst cheers.

At Umuezeoka ward in Ezza North Local Government Area where the defection took place, the State APC Chairman, Hon Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha who assured them of equal treatment noted that there are still more rooms to accommodate anyone with genuine intention.

The APC boss, Emegha commended the state Governor, for stirring the massive wave of defection through his all inclusive administration which has impacted positively on citizens and visitors alike in less than a year in office.

“I’m interested in winning more souls for our party and that’s why I still go about asking people to join us so that they can enjoy what we are enjoying. The person you didn’t work with today, you might work with tomorrow. Let’s all forget the past and forgive each other. The party is open to all and we need more people”.

“Don’t restrict people from joining our party. The house is very big to accommodate all. Our governor is working tirelessly hard to promote the people’s welfare. I will visit more places in Ezza North to ensure we turn the whole of area into APC. Opposition has never done any good to the people of Ezza North and it’s time to queue behind the government in power”.

“There is no reason for opposition since our God given governor (Right Honourable (Dr) Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru) is working more than expected and has been making Ebonyians happy with good leadership. One party system is fine when there’s good leadership. You can only oppose when we have a bad leader. Ebonyi is blessed with the best governor and that’s why opposition members have been collapsing their parties to support Nwifuru led government”, Chief Emegha stated.

The defectors who were led by the former PDP State Publicity Secretary, Hon Betran Okulegu; former Coordinators of Ezza North West Development Centre, Hon Sunday Otubo and Hon Ogbanshiegbe Nweke; PDP Woman Leader in Ezza North, Mrs Chukwuemeka Charity Ede and APGA Youth Leader in Umuezeoka ward, Comrade Ejike Mark cited Governor Nwifuru’s human oriented administration as the major reason of joining the ruling party.

They further expressed pleasure about their roads the governor constructed despite that they didn’t vote for him, and pledged total loyalty to the party and government.
